I played it for a week and got bored. There are not many variations in the game play, just the basic 4 types of tracks and it sometimes becomes to difficult to complete a level when people upload unrealistic stats.
So what I am saying is, I bought this game for less than $10 and it is a lot like Forza Motorsport 2 (it even has the red/yellow/green arrows around turns), which I did not like. When this game come out, I waited for other people to waste their money on full price. that is how I knew that this would not live up to those videos. I have not played undercover and probably will not by it until the price is below $20. If you are a need for speed fan then you will not like this as much as the other games. I played the demo before it came out and was impressed with the cars but with need for speed, when is being impressed by the cars an issue.
You have to designate cars to race in a very specific category and cannot use one car for everything. I saw the videos and they were amazing. Need for speed tried to make this an actual simulation of driving and it just flopped. I have had various need for speed titles that go back to before xbox like hot pursuit. I have enjoyed every need for speed title. If you have played Forza and love it then you will love this game.
I enjoy this game because I know that I did not waste that much money on it.
Pritty nice game with low price for one of the best racing game for xbox360. Excellent graphics and game engine.
Hours of fun when you have a friend come by to hangout. Like many others in the series you get to customize your rides again. It's the social aspect that really makes this game shine, you are able to play split-screen, and the coolest part with this is when you are going high speeds on the long streched out highway and crash, you get a cinematic camera view of your car crashing. Let me tell you what factors make this game alot of fun: 1. I first got my hands on this game around a year ago, and like everyone else, I was quick to get rid of it because it was no longer free roam, nor the cops where taken out of the picture. Due to the fact of the fun social factor this game presents. And 3rd. My friend and I found this to be one of the key conponents to the "fun factor", with this game.
But for the cost of this game now, I say it's definitely worth a try to check out; you know you have a fun racing game in your collection when you have a friend that absolutey hates racing games request that you don't return it. Like most other racing games you get the choice between manual and automatic. However, I have recently picked the game up again used at gamestop for $17.99 and for anyone debating if they want this title or not. So besides all that, of course you have your draw backs: no police, no free roam, and sometimes not the best framerate. 2nd. Well on Prostreet you get the option to use a manual with a clutch. In a previous review on nfs undercover, I took a negative shot at prostreet, but as it's listed, "I retract my previous statement". Hope I was able to help out
Drift is a little tricky at first, but fun once you get the hang of it. This game has gotten some poor reviews on here, but for a value race game, this is better than many others I've played. The career is fun, upgrading the cars is a good time, and the different race modes are outstanding. The drag races are sweet as are the regular races. It's not a blockbuster hit by any means, but solid for the price.
